NEET 2025

NEET stands for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. It is an entrance examination conducted in India for admission to undergraduate medical and dental (MBBS/BDS)/ AYUSH/ Nursing courses in government or private medical colleges across the country. NEET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. 

Eligibility: To be eligible for NEET, candidates must fulfill certain criteria, including:

• Age: Candidates must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before December 31 of the year of admission.
• Qualification: Candidates should have completed or will be appearing in the 10+2 examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as mandatory subjects.
• Minimum Marks: General category candidates must score at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology in the qualifying examination. Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) must score at least 40% marks.

Syllabus: NEET Syllabus 2025 includes topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects of the Higher Secondary Level. The Physics section of the NEET 2025 Syllabus includes important topics like Thermodynamics, Mechanics, Current, Electricity, Motion, Quantum Physics, etc while the Chemistry section consists of topics like Inorganic, Organic, and Physical Chemistry. As per the NEET Exam Pattern 2025, the Biology section of the NEET 2025 Syllabus is divided into 2 sections - Botany and Zoology. Important topics from these sections are Cell, Ecology, Genetics, Reproduction, Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, etc.  The NEET 2025 exam date is not announced yet however the exam is expected to be conducted in the first week of May 2025.
